0.5 point went down today. Now my score is 127.5 and third at the ranking. Team KIMBAB added 1.5 point, so went ahead of me to 2nd place. I was slided from second. But I am satisfied with today's status and standing.
Tomorrow, five starters will be scheduled to start for my team. Especially, Danny Haren and Justin Verlander will face each other for their teams and that would be my concern because I have totally 6 hitters on both teams, Oakland A's and Detroit Tigers. I took out Nick swisher and Dan Johnson, who have been slumped thesedays, from the roster. Two batters for each team will be starting against Haren and Verlander.
So, tomorrow I think I wouldn't expect good result and get second place back again. If batters will be good, pitchers will be terrible. It's two sides of coin. But in a view of long-term perspective, I root for my starting pitchers. Now I have a lot of points from the batting side, so there are some points I can get more from pitching side easily if my starting pitchers pitch well in their several appearances.
In a year of 2003, I was in the army, so I couldn't care about my fantasy team and last year was my first year in the company and I didn't have much interested in fantasy baseball. But, this year is different. Before the season, I set my goal as a first place and depite of bad start early in the season, my team has been rebounded rapidly. I can see the possibility.
Last thing, tomorrow will be important day for Cole Hamels, last-spot starter for my team and rookie for Philadelphia Phillies. First time when he was called up to big-league, he was considered as a strong candidate for the rookie of the year. But after some good pitching in his first two or three outings, he has been struggling. I picked him up from FA using my waiver priority right with my friend's recommand, but he gave me big disappintment until now. He will get last two chances to be reevaluated. Tomorrow will be first one.
