자이언츠의 코너 인필더편입니다. 자이언츠가 06시즌 1루수를 랜스 니에크로에게 맡기는 것이 다소 의외입니다. 우완투수에게 극악의 성적을 올린 그가, 과연 얼마나 적응력을 길러갈 수 있을지.. 자이언츠도 느긋한 상황은 아니기 때문에, 시즌 초반에 주어진 기회를 잡지 못한다면, 최희섭처럼 될 가능성도 다분합니다.
개인적으로 좋아하는 알폰소가 자이언츠를 떠나서 아쉽지만, 자이언츠 입장에서 펠리즈에게 기회를 주는 것이 더 현실적이라는 생각은 듭니다. 전체적으로 볼때 여전히 자이언츠 타선의 운명은 배리본즈의 어깨에 달려있는 듯 합니다.

Giants rely on youngster at first base, veteran at third

SAN FRANCISCO -- Every player wants to prove he's an everyday Major Leaguer, and second-year first baseman Lance Niekro will definitely get his chance.
