It seems A's batters find out their way and is up to their expected level. In the first game in Tropicana field, Rays homefield, A's batters collected 12 hits, driving 8 runs for their another win. And at least one more hits came from each line up member of the starting lineup, which had gone through the end of the game. Eric Chavez, starting 3rd baseman, drove 4 RBIs including 3 run base-clean double in sixth inning.
"Today my spot was sixth of the lineup, I think it was the first time out of 3-4-5 trio spot since I started as a regular member at Oakalnd. I think it was really good sign for the team and a lot of hitters better than me are here, that is our strength. Until last year, frankly speaking, I got a little of pressure to be presenting club's offense and have to lead the club. The team was picked up as a strongest candidate for World series champion before the season in a poll by MLB.com. Next pitcher for A's will be Carlos Zambrano who was born in Venezuela, and Rays' starting pitcher will be Nomo Hideo from Japan. Two both will take a shot first time after joining their new team. Interesting match-up.
