This is Carlos Guillen in Venezuela uniform, just his mother country. Beside the photo, Seattle won the last game of the series against Rangers by a tight one, 3-2 thanks to Guillen's big performance. He produced 3 hit of team's total 8 hits, and decisive double in third inning.
On the mound, starting pitcher Carlos Zambrano was excellent at his role in his second appearance. He all won in two games. And Alan Embree got first save of the season, actually he is not the team's closer, so closer J.J Putz was about to take the mound in the 9th. But three left batters were waiting to stand at the plate, so manager changed his mind and go with Embree in the final inning.
Embree had good job. Mariners sweeped the first series with Rangers, and as they completed their home games of 6, will go road trip to Kansas City.
